Prices and VAT
Prices on this site are in euros and include VAT. For consumers, the price on the page is the price you pay wherever in the EU the order is delivered; the VAT inside it is charged at the rate in force in the country of delivery. Delivery is added at checkout.
VAT is charged:
- on deliveries within France (including Monaco), at the French rate in force;
- on deliveries to consumers elsewhere in the EU, at the rate of the country of delivery, under the One-Stop Shop (OSS) scheme.
No VAT is charged in the cases below. The order is then priced at a single ex-VAT price, the same in every country, applied automatically at checkout once the conditions are met:
- deliveries to a business in another EU member state that provides a valid VAT number from the country of delivery, verified against VIES (exempt intra-Community supply of goods, art. 138 of Directive 2006/112/EC and art. 262 ter I of the French CGI; the customer accounts for acquisition VAT);
- deliveries outside the EU, or to territories outside the EU VAT area, invoiced as exports.
A VAT invoice is issued for every order and is available in the customer portal.
Deliveries to yachts
We deliver to yachts in port, directly or through their agent or marina office. The vessel's name is used to deliver the order and may appear on the documents. A delivery to a yacht is taxed like any other delivery: VAT is charged according to the place of delivery, unless one of the cases above applies (a business with a valid VAT number from the country of delivery, or an export). There is no VAT exemption for a vessel as such.
Payment
Orders placed on this site are paid by credit or debit card, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. No surcharge is applied for paying by card. Existing account customers may be invoiced for payment by bank transfer on agreed terms; ask us if that suits you better.
Roasting and dispatch
Coffee is roasted to order rather than taken from stock, so orders are normally roasted and dispatched within two to three working days. We will tell you if a particular order will take longer.
Delivery
Delivery is charged at cost and shown before you pay. Where we have a full address we quote the carrier's own rate; otherwise we show a banded estimate, which is confirmed at checkout.
We deliver to yachts, agents, marina offices and residential addresses. Transit times vary by destination and are outside our control once the parcel is with the carrier. Every shipment is trackable: see Track your order.
Duties and import taxes on deliveries outside the EU are the recipient's responsibility.
Cancellation and returns
Consumers in the EU have fourteen days from delivery to withdraw from the purchase under art. L221-18 of the French Consumer Code. Coffee that has been opened cannot be resold and so cannot be accepted back unless it is faulty; unopened bags in resalable condition may be returned within that period.
If anything arrives damaged, stale or not what you ordered, email info@onshoreroasters.com with your order number and we will replace it or refund it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at info@onshoreroasters.com; most problems are resolved that way.
If you are a consumer and a dispute cannot be resolved with us directly, you may refer it free of charge to a consumer mediator, under articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. You may also bring a dispute before the courts of your place of residence.
Model withdrawal form
To withdraw, tell us clearly that you are withdrawing from your order, for example by email to info@onshoreroasters.com, within the withdrawal period set out above. You may use this model form, but you do not have to. The right of withdrawal belongs to consumers and is subject to the exceptions in article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code.
